Cambridge Photography Show Returns This October with New Venue

Cambridge’s biggest celebration of photography is back — and this year, it’s bigger, bolder, and more hands-on than ever. The Cambridge Photography Show 2025 takes place on Saturday, 18 October at The Graduate Hotel, marking a new era for the city’s thriving creative community.

Organised by Campkins Cameras, the event moves to its stunning new venue in the heart of Cambridge, offering more space for exhibitors, workshops and demonstrations. The relocation to The Graduate Hotel on Mill Lane (CB2 1RT) gives the popular annual showcase room to grow — and this year, the organisers have gone even further by expanding the celebration into Cambridge Photography Month.

Following the huge success of last year’s Photography Week, the 2025 edition turns October into a full month dedicated to the art of image-making. Expect an entire calendar packed with photo walks, live demonstrations, guest talks and creative workshops across the city, culminating in the headline one-day Photography Show.

Speaking about the expansion, organisers said they wanted to “create a festival atmosphere that celebrates the joy of photography and brings the community together — from complete beginners to professional photographers.”

Running from 9:30am to 4pm, the main show on Saturday 18 October will feature major photography brands including Canon, Sony, Fujifilm, OM System, Sigma, Hasselblad, Tamron, and Peak Design, alongside dozens more. Visitors can get hands-on with the latest gear, enjoy exclusive one-day-only deals, and attend inspiring sessions led by industry experts and ambassadors.

Workshops and walking tours will take photographers through Cambridge’s most picturesque spots — from the River Cam to King’s Parade — offering tips on composition, lighting, and storytelling. Talks and masterclasses will cover everything from portrait and landscape techniques to post-production and video editing.

Tickets are free, with separate booking required for workshops and talks. Organisers advise early booking as many sessions fill up quickly. Paid parking is available near the venue, and the event is open to all ages.

The Cambridge Photography Show continues to be a key fixture in the city’s cultural calendar, combining creativity, community, and cutting-edge technology in one inspiring day. Whether you’re shopping for new kit or chasing the perfect shot, it’s an unmissable event for anyone passionate about photography.
